Sadat (Arabic: سادات) is a suffix, which is given to families Sayyid/ Sayed is an honorific title of Hasanid and Husaynid lineage, recognized as descendants of the Islamic prophet Muhammad through his daughter Fatima and Ali's sons Hasan and Husayn.
