Oroboro
The ouroboros () or uroboros () is an ancient symbol depicting a snake or dragon eating its own tail. The ouroboros entered Western tradition via ancient Egyptian iconography and the Greek magical tradition. It was adopted as a symbol in Gnosticism, Hermeticism, and alchemy.
